Nkala lies inside the Black Rhino Game Reserve (part of Greater Pilanesberg), along the
R565 near the private Black Rhino gate.
Transfers enter via the Black Rhino Gate on the R565 Derdepoort/Madikwe road (private
entrance to the Black Rhino section). It’s signposted; tar all the way.
Allow about 3 hours for roughly ~200–205 km in normal traffic to the Black Rhino area.

Typical public gate hours: Nov–Feb 05:30–19:00, Mar–Apr 06:00–18:30, May–Aug
06:30–18:00, Sep–Oct 06:00–18:30. We schedule pickups to arrive well before closing.
After-hours access needs pre-approval with the lodge/gate. We’ll coordinate with Nkala and
Black Rhino security if late flights make it unavoidable. (Procedures vary by day—ask us to
