Inside Pilanesberg National Park, near Sun City on the park’s eastern side—about 175 km
from Johannesburg and roughly 2 km from Pilanesberg Airport.
The Kwa Maritane Gate (signed Kwa Maritane/Mogwase/Pilanesberg Airport) between
Sun City and the airport. Follow R556 toward Sun City, then the signed turn-off; the lodge
entrance is ±2 km along that road.
Plan on ±2.5–3 hours in normal traffic (we schedule a buffer to arrive before gate closing).
Yes—Pilanesberg is a malaria-free Big Five reserve.
Typical public gate times: Nov–Feb 05:30–19:00, Mar–Apr 06:00–18:30, May–Aug
06:30–18:00, Sep–Oct 06:00–18:30. We’ll time pickup to reach the lodge well before
closing.
Yes—tar road all the way to the Kwa Maritane turn-off and gate.
Yes—use Pilanesberg Airport (NTY); Kwa Maritane is about 2 km from the airstrip. We
arrange lodge transfers from NTY on request.
Yes—OR Tambo (JNB), Lanseria (HLA), Sandton, Rosebank, Pretoria, Sun City, and most
Johannesburg addresses (private vehicles sized to your group).
Private, air-conditioned sedan/SUV/minibus (trailers for extra luggage on request). Child
